Update provider

regify provider software appliance

  1. Enter the regify appliance menu by using SSH (for example with PuTTY). Please use the username "regify" and the given password.
  2. Select the "Check for updates" option and follow the instructions on the screen.
  3. If the update has finished, please repeat checking for updates until no more updates are available.
  4. There might be some error messages in your logfiles. This happens if background jobs have been active while updating. You can delete the logfile content if you like.
  5. You are done. Your appliance menu and provider administration now shows the new version.

regify provider for Windows

There is no automatic update available for Windows based systems. Please contact support (at) regify.com for updating your system manually.

IMPORTANT: The current provider V3.3 will be the last version that supports Windows! We strongly recommend to switch to the regify provider software appliance. A typical migration is done in half a day if prerequisites are given. For further information, please contact support (at) regify.com.

Update customization

Update to version 3.3

After you updated the regify provider, the following applies for all types of setups (Windows and Linux):

  1. Check the provider configuration by using the "Manage sub-providers" options in your regify provider administration interface (https://yoururl/ADMINISTRATION/).
    There are some new fields that need to get checked:
    1. CONTACT: Provider homepage URL (please enter your homepage URL, not the portal URL)
    2. SHOP: Check the email address for shop notifications and validate all your payment/shop settings.
      Important: Every sub-provider is now having his own shop options. Check other sub-provider options, too.
  2. Please chose "Update setups" option and enter 3.9.2 as version. This is the new regify client packed to your most recent regify provider update. Now press "Start copy" to provide the new client to your customers.
  3. Please upload a new Logo.png in your customization dialogs. The logo has to be PNG format with transparent background. Please follow the customization guide for the logo dimensions and format.
    Hint: If you like to test the new Logo.png, simply copy it to your local regify client (V3.9 or newer) application data (%APPDATA%\regify). Now you can run your local client and take a peek how it looks like.

Update prices and conditions

We found out that many providers once customized their prices and conditions. But since then, product names changed in early 2012. Many providers still are using the old product names.

In order to fix your prices and conditions, please follow these steps:

  1. Enter your regify provider administration.
  2. Enter the "Change provider optics and templates". The prices are located in conditions_DE.php, conditions_EN.php and conditions_FR.php.
  3. Click the file in your preferred language and note your prices and your payment options.
  4. Now enter all three files and remove the complete content (Ctrl+A, Delete). Now save the empty page. This will restore our default template with correct product names.
  5. Now enter all three files and change the prices and payment options to the noted one of your previous templates.

If you don't like the default templates provided by regify, please ensure that at least all the important informations and product names are found in your own templates.
