A note about regigate version numbers

In January 2017 we technically split the regigate product completely from the regify provider. But, as the regigate appliance is still based on the same core software than the regify provider appliance, the regigate versions are still mostly the same than the corresponding regify provider versions.

As the new regigate deployment started in January 2017, the initial version for this list was V4.0.9 (bottom of this page).

  • Fix: In some situations, a single recipient regimail could be registered twice.
  • Fix: There was a bug in rules with RegExp header replacements if more than one capturing group was in use and the first group result was empty.

  • New: This is based on the appliance version 5.2, which mostly introduces system components updates.

  • Fix: Encryption failed if email subject was empty.

  • Fix: Fixed issues if route is defined using "Domains to accept e-mail for" (did not forward any email)
  • Fix: Stopped the splitter instance to create bounces if smarthost denies a message (eg unknown user, spam detection etc).

Update 16. March 2021 V5.1.4

  • New: Take the first .ics attachment we find and always duplicate it into the main multipart/alternativ as a Content-Type: text/calendar regardless of the main content.
    • Note: This calendar item will also remain as an .ics attachment.
  • Fix: Calendar items (.ics) were missed during encryption when the multipart alternativ section had no html part.
  • Fix: Fixed several issues if SSH appliance menu was entered with user regify (svc and svstat not working).
  • Fix: Fixed error "mailbox_size_limit is smaller than message_size_limit" if route maximum message size was > 49MB.
  • Fix: Fixed issues with empty rule sets ({}) triggering Milter error "CRIT: Failed to get action for message [64]".
  • Fix: Fixed replacement of $I token in tagging rules to choose the right IP number. Requires manual rewriting of the milter configuration in regigate - Route - MTA Milter Settings.
  • Fix: The rfmilter log was accidentially logging /usr/bin/rfmilter: symbol lookup error: /usr/bin/rfmilter: undefined symbol: ruDoesLog
  • Fix: When the subject is rewritten due to a tag rule, it was no longer proper rfc-2047 transport encoded.

  • New: The appliance is checking provider connection certificates and sends email to admin in case it soon runs out.

  • Fix: Re-added tinker panic 0 for better time synchronization on several virtual hosts.
  • Fix: Fixed issues while removing routes in case the route was not successfully created before.

  • New: Changed the content type of generated messages to "multipart/mixed" for better compatibility with MS Outlook.
  • Fix: Mime header manipulation using "tags" is only done if the message was successfully processed (encrypt/decrypt).
  • Fix: Comparison with "field": "attName" was not working reliable if a previous rule was used to recognize the mime type before.

  • New: Support for mime header manipulation using "tags" in rules.
    • Allows to modify headers (like adding words to subject).
    • Allows to add new headers (like processing and information headers).
  • New: Ensure filename extension .ics in case of text/calendar mime-typed attachments during encryption.
  • Fix: Cron did not respect proxy server settings.

  • Fix: Added capability to handle MIME messages with no body (adding empty body to resulting regify message).
